My name is Jacob Gross, and I was born in Houston, Texas. I played Soccer my entire life however, I have always very much enjoyed watching all the other various sports teams around Houston. The first Houston sports event I ever saw live was an Astros game when I was very young with my grandfather. I remember watching Craig Biggio, Lance Berkman, and Jeff Bagwell at the very end of their career and becoming a fan. Next was followed by the Texans, my first memory was going to a season opener with my mom around sixth grade and we played the Dolphins at home. I remember knowing about two players Andre Johnson and JJ Watt. I wasn't really a huge fan until I saw matt Schaub launch an absolute bomb to Andre Johnson for 70 yards and I was instantly hooked and transformed into a die-hard Texans fan. Around High School I started getting into basketball mainly because James Harden was averaging 50 some years, and because I started playing on my own time with friends and found it very humbling trying to be coordinated with my own hands. Watching rockets games with my friends and experiencing the playoff runs against the Golden State Warriors turned me into a raging Rockets fan that now has trust issues with the franchise. I had always known about the Dynamo since I was a soccer player myself, however I always found myself loving other sports the most for whatever reason. If I had to rank my favorite teams in order from Houston of course it would go: Texans, Astros/Rockets tied at two, and Dynamo third.
